Red Cross

Red Cross is an international organisation. It was founded in 1860 by Sir Henry Dunant in Geneva, Switzerland. Its main purpose is to help and heal the injured soldiers during the war. Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) was established in 1920 under the Indian Red Cross Society Act and incorporated under Parliament Act XV of 1920. The Mission of it is to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized and even prevented and thus contribute to creating more congenial environment for peace. A unit of Indian Red Cross Society functions in the college. This unit strives to fulfil the mission of the Indian Red Cross Society. The training imparted by the college unit and certificate received by the trainee in this respect are extremely useful for students. Students who wish to get trained can contact Red Cross In-charge Dr. Rajeev Kumar Agrawal.
